Another wine from the wine tasting at my house last week. A rose this time. I think I bought this one from carrefour as it was in a list of recommended supermarket wines in el Pais en Ingles.
I tend to associate Rose Wines with picnics and eating outdoors in summer. There’s something about the pink colour that makes you crave light fruity wine for lazy hot summer days. The last thing you want in the summer heat is a heavy wine. This wine totally matches that idea.
It is a clear pale pink colour with a light scent of raspberry and strawberry. Both these berries come across in the flavour as well. Very light body, dry wine with a clean short finish and relatively light acidity. You barely notice you’re drinking this wine, which is what you need in the Madrid summer heat.
