One of my pet hates at a wine tasting is when the hosts have just opened the wine and not let it decant for sufficient time.
This is especially true of the red wines. The fruity flavours I enjoy seem to benefit from a bit of air, so it annoys me when I’ve been deprived because the bottle wasn’t opened soon enough.
