This is the Fariña premium wine. Fermentation at 30 – 32ºC in stainless fermentation tanks before undergoing malolactic fermentation in 16,000l wooden tanks. 15 months in new premium French and American oak.15 months in barrel, 2 years in bottle.
The wine has a very intense dark purple colour with a medium pronounced scent full of fruit: cherry and strawberry. There’s also some balsamic and smokey earth/wood tones. Very promising scent.
This a a full bodied dry red wine with a long finish and low to medium tannins and acidity. It was described by much of the group as warming and filling.
It has good red berry flavours including cherry with wood tones coming through as well. It was by far the favourite of the night.
