The second wine at the Bodegas Valbusenda wine tasting at vinopremier.com. This time their intro level Rose. Valbusenda has two ranges of wine: the Abios entry level young wine and the Valbusenda select wines.
This wine is made from 100% Tinto de Toro. It is a very pale rose pink Going slightly to salmon.
It has an incredibly light scent. A bit mineral, raspberry and perhaps liquorice.
A dry wine with medium acidity and light plus body. A mild raspberry jam flavour and a slightly sour mineral finish. The Bodega representative spoke of a carbonic note and I agree the finish could be described as that odd flavour you get from carbonated water.
A drinkable wine but nothing to get excited about.
