The first wine at the Ljubjanawinetasting.com in Dvorni Bar. Back to my new favourite white wine grape variety Rebula. This wine is from the warmer coastal region of Goriska Brda in the West and is a young wine aged in steel tanks.
It has a pale lemon colour and a very light scent. After swirling the wine quite a bit I got mineral scents and citrus sour apple.
This is a dry wine with mid/low acidity. To me it tasted of cooking apples with perhaps a bit of overripe melon. One of the group got pear but I didn’t.
It’s a refreshing simple summer wine but the Rebula I tried in Lake Bled was better.
