I’ve tried a few English white wines now and they remind me of the modern day Reislings coming from New Zealand and Australia: fruit led off dry wines with lime and tropical fruit flavours. So it should be no surprise to find that the main grape varieties used in the English wines are cross hybrids German grapes such as Reisling and Gewürztraminer.
Below are links to the four grape varieties used in this week’s wine as described by wine-searcher.com.
