The final wine at the colourfulwines.com Summer Sparklers tasting at Tomevinos.com. The Moscato Bianco grape is known for producing sweet desert wines and this sparkling wine is no exception. It is incredibly sweet.
A very pale straw colour, it even smells sweet. The scent has a light intensity but is super tropical: pineapple and lychee.
There is nowhere near as much fizz as you get in Champagne or Cava and it tastes as it smells of tropical fruit with added sugar. Very little acidity or alcohol there is no kick to this wine. Medium body and a long sugary finish.
Personally I am not a fan of sweet wines as I find them too sickly. I prefer the refreshment of a white wine with more acidity. However if sugar is your thing then this is the the sparkling wine for you.
