The second wine from the Bodegas Ochoa wine tasting at Vinopremier.com. This is a rose wine from the Javier Ochoa collection. It is made from a blend of Garnacha, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes and apparently contains very low sulphites of onky 20mg.
A pale rose pink colour with perhaps a hint of garnet. It has a medium scent of Raspberry, some strawberry and some mineral.
A dry wine that coats the tongue with berry flavours. Medium bofied with a limgering finsih and a good balance of acidity and a nice minerality. This gives you all the fruity flavour with none of the sickly sensations you get with rose wines.
This is a beautifully balanced rose wine. All the flavour of a Zinfandel but way more complex and much more refreshing.
At the price it was a nother winner and I bought a bottle to take home.
