Another Ochoa wine from the Adriana Series. A red wine made from 30% Tempranillo, 30% Graciano, 30% Merlot, 10% Garnacha oaked for 9 months in a mix of French and American barrels.
It has a pale colour somewhere between garnet and purple with a light to medium scent of fresh red berries and a hint of smoke/wood.
A very dry wine where the tannins and acidity are not particularly balanced. It sucked the moisture off my tongue and got the juices flowing, but was super light in body with very little finish.
To be honest I found it a bit bland on the whole with very little of the fruit flavour promised in the scent, though I did get the wood and hint of spice. My least favourite wine of the evening.
