The third wine from the Madrid & Darracott summer wines tasting and our only rose of the night. This is made by the sangre (bleeding) methid from 100% Tempranillo.
An incredibly pale pink wine with a very light scent of strawberry sherbert, which is unusual because sangre rosado wines are usually darker. Mind you it is low lighting at Madrid & Darracott so I could be wrong in the colour. (I’ve since been back and looked at the wine in daylight and it’s actually more blush than pink.)
Light body and finish, dry with reasonable acidity it tastes like natural yoghurt with strawberries.
A nice light summer drink.
